Math: We are finishing with Chapter Five which deals with the topic of Place Value with Whole Numbers and Decimals. We will test on Wednesday this week. Then on Thursday we will begin with Chapter Six which deals with Geometry.
Reading: We are working with the text, "Rosie, A Visiting Dog." We will work with the comprehension skill, "Re-Reading" on Wednesday, and we will test on Friday.
Science: We are not working on science at this point.
Social Studies: We are starting our new chapter which deals with Immigration. I am so excited to get back to Social Studies! We will have a Social Studies picture dictionary due on Wednesday this week.
Guided Reading: We are working with Guided Reading each day. We have also finished our Winter Rigby reading assessments, as well as our standardized District reading assessment. With this data, we have been placed in new Guided Reading groups.
Spelling: We are working on Unit 17 which deals with common words that writers use. We will have homework Monday and Tuesday this week, and test on Friday.
Writing: We are working very hard at out Reading Extended Response. We are also delving heavily in Math extended response. ISAT is the first week in March.... just around the corner!
